Art Now Fine Art Fair 2019

For the third straight year I looked forward to and attended the Art Now Fine Art Fair hosted in Regina September 19 - 22, 2019 at the CBC Sound Stage, and I was not disappointed.

In its fourth year, Art Now (www.artnow.ca) is the largest art fair of contemporary art in Saskatchewan, Canada. Sask.Galleries are exceptional hosts of this event with galleries and arts related groups participating from Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and an international gallery. This year 9 commercial galleries along with the Saskatchewan Craft Council, Art Calgary and Timeraiser YQR were represented.

The quality of the art fair has improved year over year offering something of value or interest for collectors, artists, craftspeople and the general public whether it is the art that is displayed, the panel discussions or the artist presentations. I really enjoyed the presentation by Debbie Wozniak-Bonk, a Regina based artist represented by the Assiniboia Gallery. She spoke in plain English terms that everyone could understand and enforced that art is a personal journey for both the artist and the collector.

The fifth Art Now art fair will be held September 24 - 27, 2020 at Prairieland Park, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. T
